Both of the awarded parents of this phalaenopsis cross are tetraploid (For an in-depth discussion about tetraploid breeding in phalaenopsis, please follow the link to Dr. Dean Stock's Article on Tetraploid Breeding in Phalaenopsis at Big Leaf Orchids Forum): Doritaenopsis City Girl 'Madonna' HCC/AOS (huge white flowers with red lips) x Phalaenopsis Norman's Mist 'Montclair' AM/AOS (huge flat white flowers), so expect tetraploid offspring. Look for huge white flowers with red lips that may be up to 15 cm in width on elegant arching spikes. Leafspan 2-3" in 2" pots.
