Phalaenopsis Intermedia 4N
Phalaenopsis Intermedia 4N is a remake of an excellent hybrid using two awarded tetraploid parents (For an in-depth discussion about tetraploid breeding in phalaenopsis, please follow the link to Dr. Dean Stock's Article on Tetraploid Breeding in Phalaenopsis at Big Leaf Orchids Forum): Phalaenopsis amabilis (aphrodite) v. formosana 'FANGtastic 4N' AM/AOS (white flowers) x Phalaenopsis equestris 'Riverbend' AM/AOS (pink miniature). This hybrid will produce crystalline white flowers with a blush pink. Vigorous grower. Offspring should be tetraploid. Leafspan 2-3" in 2" pots.
